Does anybody remember the graphics of YSW Main Street in the SCM Post Magazine a few months ago, with many footnotes describing YSW in a funny, but not very flattering light?

I did a clickable web version of that graphics a while ago, as a little technical exercise in web imagemap building.

Enjoy and click on the numbers in the picture for the footnotes, plus a few of my own comments.

Not sure if the writer and illustrator are from Lamma. They seemed to know YSW pretty well.

Words: Tom Hilditch, Illustration: Dougie Ward

Does anybody know if either of these two guys live or has lived on Lamma?

P.S. Great fractal in your Avatar, Shantisonix!
And a great username! What does it stand for?
Google couldn'find a single reference to it on the Web...

Have you thought of an 'underblurb' that you would like for yourself?

bbchris {L_WROTE}:
Have you thought of an 'underblurb' that you would like for yourself?

Having met the truly enchanting "Shantisonix" yesterday for the first time at the weekly "Sunday Brunch of the bbChris Posse", I'd suggest an Underblurb like these:

"Cuter than a fractal"
"Shaaaanti-sssssonix!!!" (pronounced like a race car approaching and passing by)
"Shantisonix, Queen of Shantytown Lamma"
"I love Shandy!"
"Sonix the Hedgehog can't keep up with me!"

and, last but least, and by far the worst:
"Shan't I Sony X?" ("Shouldn't I watch a Sony X-rated movie?")

Welcome back, Ms. Shantisonix!

So you'd like that "Cuter than a Fractal" Underblurb between your name and your fractal Avatar in your messages?

By the way, as you might have seen in my e-zine today, we're asking all members for their birthday (no year), so we can give them a birthday surprise.
If you let me know your date, I can make you a birthday fractal...

By the way II, how's your progress with your scanner?
Getting it connected now?

As promised, here are some of my favorite fractals sites, incl. free software to make your own:

http://www.fractalus.com/contest99/
http://www.fractalus.com/sharon/home.htm
http://www.chaospro.de/
http://spanky.triumf.ca/www/fractint/fractint.html
http://www.mbfractals.com/index.html

Here are two fractals I just found that would make great Avatars:

And here's a link to a few of my own fractals:
