Just wondering which Doctors most (non Chinese speaking) residents used. I've been to North Lamma Clinic a few times and found (as I'm sure others have) both an inability and unwillingness to listen. After hastily dismissing my concerns by saying that there was nothing to worry about, as I tried to get through to him by explaining the context of the issue (and as to why I knew for a fact there was), I was pretty much ushered out of his office with him telling me he had other patients to see and that his time wasn't only for me. There were one or two people at most in the waiting room with clearly non urgent conditions, and I had only been in there a few minutes. After trawling through some of the older threads on here it came as no surprise that this seems to be a common thread in most people's interactions with him. My intention is not to single that Doctor out but I am genuinely concerned so would massively appreciate any advice any of you might have. Thanks

The doctor at the clinic is the only one on Lamma, as you probably know. I don't know that you'd get a better reception at any other clinic; at least here you don't have to wait for three hours to see a doctor as you do in most govt clinics.

If you want better, you'd have to find a private doctor, pay 5-10 times as much + drugs, of course.
There is a traditional Chinese medicine doctor on Main Street, he'd probably have a better bedside manner.
To my mind TCM is all placebo effect, but some swear by it.
