Yang Dental Clinic 54 Waterloo Rd YMT, 2332-2513 You normally have to wait at least a week for an appointment, but if you tell them it's urgent and are willing to come in the evening you can usually get in quickly. Prince Philip Dental Hosp, Queen's Rd/Eastern Sheung Wan, enq 2859-0238 If you turn up early in the morning you might get seen. Helps if you have an unusual condition, useful for teaching. |

I have a great dentist but quite a bit over 500 for a filling last visit. Let me know if you are interested. |

Thank you very much for you replies, I really appreciate it. I tried to call Yang Dental Clinic but there is an answer machine in Chinese, can't really understand what they want, will try later. currently trying the prince philip, line is busy. @boss, yeah sure please send me the details, I will go for the place that would provide me with earliest appointment. Staff at Yang Clinic do speak English. Open till about 8 pm. |

Sorry for the late reply, just came back from work to find out that my washing machine stopped working.... a hell of a weekend. feels like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY99U3cpsIw @Allan this is exactly the case , I tried to call both clinic and hospital, no luck will try again tomorrow. @boss thank you for the reply, will give him a call early in the morning Again thanks guys, I really appreciate your replies, also will continue posting my comments after visiting the doctor ("who ever he will be") for future references. happy friday every one. |

@Alan, I have loads of pills for pain so no problem on that. - tried to call Dr. Alexander this morning, they are fully booked for today, monday. - tried to call yang Clinic all numbers on the web site, no luck recorded message in Chinese then hang up. - I had another recommendation from a friend of mine, clinic in causeway bay I managed to book on monday, if all went well will post the details of the clinic. |

Went to one doctor cost was the following : Root canal treatment :6500 HKD crown : 3500-8000 HKD Filling: 650 HKD I decided to check with another doctor, prices are crazy here in HK I even started thinking about Thailand. Still in the process of visiting dentists, I have an appointment with a different doctor this saturday. |

Well, keep trying with the Yang Clinic. May have gone up, but last time was about half the prices you quoted. |

So I tried Yang Clinic no answer, I even tried numbers on their web site but no luck with that. Considering the fact that I needed to start as soon as possible "fearing that infection my extend to another tooth or something" I had another friend recommending me a doctor located in Prince Edward. Address and contacts are provided at the end of the post. I visited him last week, and started treatment. Cost of treatment was kinda the average of what I have checked online. He is good, professional, and most importantly clean. Cost details as follows : - Root canal treatment " For a Molar tooth" =>>>>3600 HKD. - Crown "Also for a Molar tooth" =>>>> 3200 HKD - This makes total cost of 6800HKD "TOOOO DAMN EXPENSIVE if I would compare it to my home country => would actually cost 500 hkd" - root canal treatment would take 3 visits, crown 2 visits. I have finished the first session, and for the first time since 3 weeks I can drink cold water without feeling pain. Contact Details : Dr. Frank Mok 11/F pioneer center, Prince Edward.
