I can't seem to find companies that offer contracts shorter than 24 months for Lamma..
Do they exist???

You can get 6 month contract then monthly if you pay 6 months in advance.
Same service as PCCW DSL.

Am also wondering about this, if someone has advice would greatly appreciate it, currently we use broadband with pccw I.e. The so called 3mb speed, so pretty slow and it is often no where near as fast as 3mb.

Am thinking of having no broadband and simply using 4g coverage at home over all my devices. What I don't know is if this is a much faster connection than what we currently have through the cable with pccw.....

Any advice welcome please

Just thought I'd post an update on this topic.
I contacted Netfront and apparently, there's been a policy change.
They no longer provide any contracts shorter than 24 months ;((
I specifically asked about the option of prepaying 6 months up front, but still NO :(
Broadband and mobile services in HK, not to mention banking too (can't get over the fact that the normal bank cards they issue do not come with visa/master debit options unless you apply for a credit card!) seem incredibly restricted for a country this advanced!

I'm resigned to using mobile hotspot for now.

UPDATE!

This is funny.
So, apparently after I personally called up the Netfront guy (as opposed to just emailing), he came back to me with an offer of a contract-free package provided I pay a one-off installation fee.
I thought these things are regulated!
So seems like rules are negotiable here...
