南丫島是香港發現最多新石器時代文物的地方，推斷這個島嶼在遠古時代已有人聚居。

沿著導賞團路線走，不難見到古廟﹑舊村落或私塾。你可以見到早期的房屋是以黃泥磚建成，有的已有200年歷史，至近百年前才改用島上的花崗岩建屋。

"Registration notice: Lamma Island mission until Tuesday!"
Neolithic artifacts have been of Hong Kong, Lamma Island, deduced that the island has been inhabited in ancient times. Along the guided tour route, is not difficult to see the ancient temples, and the old villages or private schools.

You can see the early houses were in yellow mud brick, some more than 200 years of history, until nearly a century ago before switching to the granite building on the island.
