"One-day trip banner will be post this Saturday, Jan 11, The Kung-Hei-Fat-Choi banner will be posted on Jan 22, 2014.

Our New Year celebration event (Respect for the elderly) will held at 12 February, 2014 (Wed) 12:00nn to 3:00 pm, take place at Yung Shue Wan Plaza.

One-day trip will held at Feb 16, 2014 , details as follow:

16/02/2014: Day-trip to Kai Tak Cruise Terminal + Wong Tai Sin Temple + Chi Lin Nunnery +
Lunch at Light Vegetarian Restaurant + Shopping at Plaza Hollywood

Organised by Lamma Island (North) Rural Committee
Tickets distributing at 9.00am, 13/01/2014 (Monday)

Yung Shue Wan residents get 8.30am ferry to Central
Fee: HK$75, one person for one admission ticket only."

Meet me and Lamma-Por lining up at the Rural Committee office at 9am tomorrow, Monday? These tickets are usually selling out fast, the last day tour took just 2 hours.
Take a Cantonese speaker with you, if possible. But gwailos and gwaipos are most welcome, especially as we are so rare on these Cantonese, Govt.-sponsored, great-deal tours.

A few New Year notices and banners.

Interesting that the same banner design is used for the English "Kung Hei Fat Choi" wishes, but the banner and notice above for the free Big Bowl feast for 65+ in the YSW Plaza on Feb 27 is in Chinese ONLY. It's supposedly for any Lammaite over 65+, not just for people who can read Chinese. Lots of those elderly living here on CSSA or overseas pensions.

I'll probably be at the event, but might have to stay hungry while taking pictures of people eating, as I'm still far from qualifying...
