More bands are being added to the Lamma Fun Day entertainment!

As DickStock 2013 on Nov 9 has just been cancelled - no reason given yet - Fun Day might be the best and only event to feature more than a single Lamma Bands for the rest of the year...

Every year our bric-a-brac (second hand items) section raises a lot of money for children in Nepal. We would be grateful if you could take the time to do some clearing – we take anything second hand, as long as it’s clean. Books, DVDs, shoes, toys and clothes sell really well but we welcome other things too. Remember, one man's garbage is another man's gold!
For HK Island drop off: Monday November 11th, Tuesday November 12th, Monday November 18th, Tuesday November 19th, from 11am to 7pm at theCWS office - Room 804, Causeway Bay Centre, 15-23 Sugar Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Tel: 2526 8810

For Lamma drop off: Saturday November 9th, Sunday November 10th, Saturday November 16th, Sunday November 17th , from 2pm – 4pm at the Diesel’s Sports Bar - G/F., 51 Main Street, Yung Shue Wan, Lamma Island

Who wants to play beach volleyball?

To play beach volleyball - please register in advance to secure your team's spot, team fees are HK$200 per player for non- corporate teams and corporate team fees are HK$600 per player. For students, we are offering a special rate of HK$100 per player If you are an individual with no team, please register in advance and you will be assigned to the team.

Although there may be a chance for event day signup, positions are only guaranteed for those who register in advance.

Please arrive at 11am and the schedule will be provided. If you registered but are not on a team , you will be assigned to one. If you did not register and show up on the day of the event, you will be assigned to a team. Please note that the space is limited and those who do not pre-register will not be guaranteed a place on a team.

Teams are comprised of 5-6 players and we aim for 4 to 6 teams in order to maximize court time for everyone.
The tournament ends at 5pm. Please email bj.blumenthal@gmail.com or avishek@cwshk.org to register or if you have any questions. Thank you"

Your support was extremely generous and enabled us to raise funds to provide street children in Nepal access to services that will change their lives.

Together with your support and that of the Lamma community, Lamma Fun Day raised just over HK$300,000 this year. This amount will go a very long way in Nepal and will go towards our JYOTI Street Project which provides over 700 children every year access to protection, food, education, vocational training, health care, banking services and more.
