Here's the Chinese-only info from the "Lamma's Island Sports Association", straight from the South Lamma Rural Committee's office. English translation is in progress: http://lm71.eduhk.net |

The largest of the 5 yearly dragonboat races on Lamma is happening again on July 1st all day in Sok Kwu Wan, with over 100 teams competing. All the info is here, but in Chinese only: http://lm71.eduhk.net/ In the meantime, the Tin Hau festival w/dragonboat races and Cantonese opera, similar but considerably larger than YSW's Tin Hau Festival, will be happening over 2 days on Sat/Sun May 24/25. More details... Another event happening in Sok Kwu Wan happening this month is a "Variety Show" on Sun, May 19, in their Basketball Pitch at the ferry pier. No details available from anybody so far, not even the organising LCSD's website or the sponsoring Islands District Council, just this "free ticket" below picked up at the Central ferry pier 4. Plus, last but not least, the intimate, very local Luk Chau Village dragonboat races on Sat, Jun 8: http://www.lamma.com.hk/forum-OK/viewtopic.php?p=75351#75351
