66 comments on Facebook so far. Here's my own last one:

"I just met the new tenant in The Waterfront having late lunch.
Nick the Bookman, one of his movers, introduced us, right after Nick & I completed an HK Magazine interview for a Lamma originals feature story.

The very first Lamma-1 tenant, from London, not a banker but a business owner, seems a very nice bloke and he and his girlfriend might fit in nicely into the community. Welcome to Lamma!
Having access to the only swimming pool on Lamma might make them very popular this summer!"

So a new rent record has been set for Lamma; who'll pay far beyond $100K/month for a duplex in Lamma-1? Anybody?

Probably my favourite photo of Lamma-1, shot from one of my heli flights over Lamma (Thanks, Gavin!).
Empty for so long in such a great location...

Plus the adjacent, famous "DickStock Residence", looking a bit like the guardhouse of the complex? ;-)

Look what Google Alerts just alerted me on, the most expensive 1/F, 600 sqft flat I've come across recently, $19,500!

http://property.gohome.com.hk/Lamma-Island/Po-Wah-Yuen/ad-1235501/en/

Compared to this, Lamma-1 at $65,000/month for an entire 3-floor house of 2,100 sqft, plus all the private amenities, sounds almost reasonable??

It looks like it's not safe yet, rent-wise, for us to return to the Greater Yung Shue Wan Area any time soon??

Still only a single pair of tenants in Lamma-1... no credible rumours of anybody else renting...

The swimming pool is full and clear, cleaning and maintenance working, the lucky cotton tree finally died, 24-hour security in place, not sure if the gym and clubhouse are operational, no advertised 24-hour ferry service yet, but it all looks pretty luxurious, all for just a single pair of tenants.

Their whisky business has rented the entire first floor of Prime Bar & Grill, so no more in-door dining and Lamma's only public pool table is now private.

Still just one tenant family in there, I believe, as it's not publicly available for rent anymore.

(Pool table still in the former Prime Bar & Grill location, renamed to Blue Goose Tavern, now run by Colin & Jessie.

Lamma-1 has just been part of a major CNN story:

Lammaites are discussing this story here...

ALL the raised questions on Facebook have been answered in this forum already and there's been no change in the last few years that I'm aware of.

The sole tenant's family, Nick & wife and son born in Lamma-1 (or Lammarina as we've called it for the last 15 years), are growing up happily in there and even share the development's swimming pool (only one on Lamma?) occasionally with friends.

The "stand-off" between the builders, King Wong Ltd., and their mainland investors seems to be continuing unabatedly, so no new tenants are welcome in there.
Trying to find out more from the sole tenant family; and also from the developers as it's been a few years since we've had lunch together on YSW Main Street...
