May 26, 2015, Hong Kong, Hong KongA temporary wind monitoring station which has been established southwest of Lamma Island for collecting wind data will continue to operate for a period of approximately one year.
The particulars of the station and its aids to navigation are as follows:
THE STATIONPosition (WGS 84 Datum): 22 DEG. 09.197’N / 114 DEG. 05.973’E
Elevation of the main platform: 11 metres above mean sea level
Supporting Trunk: Yellow
Meteorological Mast: Orange and white stripes
AIDS TO NAVIGATION OF THE STATIONLight: Mo (U) 15s 13M
Foghorn: Mo (U) 15s
Radar Reflector: Fitted
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and give a wide berth.

If this wind farm of 35 (?) huge (3 times more capacity than Lamma Winds) wind turbines will ever be built is still up in the air, so to speak. It partially depends on the outcome of the Govt.'s energy future plans being discussed in public this year.
