Post subject:  Burning wastebins in Sha Po Old Village

Just got these photos from a reader who'd like to remain anonymous. He suspected teens doing this, similar to some UK and US neighbourhoods?
The people in the photo were neighbours helping to put out the fire with water buckets.

This is in the middle of Sha Po Old Village last night, around 1:30am, and this morning, Jan 15, 2013, the wastebins at the inner gate of the huge construction materials storage area, most people living in that area, like myself, will walk past it every day.

If you've got any more info, please contact the authorities, FEHD, police.

There have been quite a few of these senseless acts of vandalism recently, are they increasing in number and severity?

Post subject:  An other gabage bin fire in Sha Po Old Village

6 garbage bins had been set on fire between friday night and saturday in the same village, near the tiny red house.

The fire also partially destroyed a PCCW telecommunication panel, probably causing a lot of phone and internet interruption for the neighboor.

The nearest tree was also partially burned.

The are currently fixing it.
