Alan {L_WROTE}:
Let's see if YLF fights back with free dim sum and maybe some lai see.
Don't underestimate her, she knows the rules and regulations of campaigning very well and will not be caught up in anything illegal or semi-legal like that.
No need, her power base is still very solid and it would take a major political shift and massive campaigning to change that.
I'm personally looking forward to a fair fight between 2, maybe even 3 candidates. Hopefully we won't see People Power fighting with police on Main Street, like their after-midnight confrontations on HK Island on July 1, but peaceful electioneering.
Almost all recent local elections have been one-horse races, including the Rural Committee and almost all Village Reps. Grassroots democracy in action, with more than 1 candidate, who'd ever thought we'd see that on Lamma! But back in my former home we were asked to vote on every single major local govt. project, not just for our representatives.
