Tavis {L_WROTE}:

Interesting comment.

Especially considering your apparent alliance with Baroque.

1) "...there is no turtle left."
This is not true.
Rather, there are very few turtles left - hence the protected status of Sham Wan
If your false assertion were true however, it would be justification for the removal of the protected status and, in turn, removal of this significant barrier to the Baroque development.

2) You attempt to tie your report of seeing 12 'wooden fishing trawlers' to the threat to the turtle population.
How do you justify this connection? Do the trawlers kill turtles or threaten their breeding site? If so, how many? When? Where are your statistics? Where are the actual reports?

My Information comes from the Marine Department quoted by th SCMP.
They found one Turtle frightened already under Ligt-Polution Shock in a Corner because of the Baroque Development is coming in 10 Years.
They overfished the place, the Turtles are perhaps all eaten up,on the Fish market I have not seen a single Turtle only Fish so small Europeans would put them in an Aquarium

Tavis {L_WROTE}:

If you could establish the threat of fishing boats to the turtle population it would justify restricting commercial fishing operations in this area. The Town Planning Board report that clearly does not support the Baroque development cites threat to the fishing grounds in this area as one factor against the development. The interests of local commercial fisherman are at odds with the interests of the Baroque developers

There you are completely mixed up. The Trawlers will be phased out in the next years .Only in your ill invented fiction story the local commercial fisherman are against the Development of the Baroque. That's where they might find the needed work after the fishing is restricted or the waters to dirty for Fish to live in,thanks to the many Oil Tanker peddling there products around Lammas beaches.

Interesting SCMP news story about the Samho Dreams yesterday, cover page of the Business section:

Judge orders sale of seized tanker

After a hijacking drama last year, the Samho Dream was arrested in HK over non-payment of bank loans.

... judge ordered the valuation and sale of a supertanker detained in HK since mid-Oct ... now worth between US$35 and 40 million.

It'll become available for sale very soon, so if somebody's got a bit of spare cash lying around for a 1/3 million tonne hunk of pirate history - maybe for a Lamma off-shore tourist attraction? - get ready to tender for it!
Maybe the Baroque developers might be interested?

Further you can buy the SD with a Clean Tank as perhaps the last Oil Pest on the Lamma beaches was the cleaning up Liquid mixed with Oil they used. On the Mainland they use DNA Tests to prove which Ship is responsible for that. Why can,t HK do the same? Obviously the yearly Oil spill Drill 3 weeks after a real spill of many was only practiced to calm down any questions arising about the safety of HK. In other words,it was a deceive on the people living and swimming on the beaches of Lammas Oil peddler Bay.

Why would the government cover up an oil spill?

And why wouldn't people swimming there (such as me) have noticed)?

The Government did not react when the oil spill occurred ,only 3 weeks later
and nearly nobody swam in that dirty water for weeks.

Interesting you are backing that deceive of the FD

Only read the first Press Release, they made this drill should a spill occure by a delivery of oil to the Power Station, now its a stranded Tanker what is more in line with what's going on on a Oil Peddler bay with up to 30 Tankers out there at a time. Today I saw the first small Tanker after 3 Month delivering to the PS

Interesting that I could swim in oil for three weeks and not notice it.

Luckily, I don't smoke.

Perhaps you should walk the shores of Lammas Oil Peddler Bay and hold a poster" I want more oil spillage" ...

You even have to fiddle with my post "more bollocks"is not from me as you state up there.

Therefore I think to fight for clean Lamma clean Water and a clean Environment is not on your mind at all.

I am sure we are not getting all the information required regarding the unloading of crude oil from Supertanker to smaller vessels.

They don't unload crude oil in HK and no supertankers come here for the simple reason there is no refinery.

Dream on

This Morning you could see besides the Army and Police chase in the dirty Oilpeddlar Bay a Supertanker moored right in front of Turtle bay. Can't see the name as covered ib Fog.

On Saturday the Panstar arrived and the Hon Huan left, both are

SUPERTANKER.

Perhaps you have oily Dreams and don't see this dirt anymore?

Ewald, have you ever read "The Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold" by Evelyn Waugh? If not, you should. It's an excellent read, and perhaps illuminating for someone with your condition.

Thanks for the advise, but I am too busy doing my own stuff and so sorry you had to read this story. Did it help cure your depression or alcohol addiction . Hope it solved your problems?
Perhaps you are still depressed, but you are writing already more as one sentence. So congratulation you getting slowly out of it.

Rambler, are you implying that these SUPERTANKERS are actually UFOs in disguise, polluting our beaches and preparing off peaceful Lamma for their inevitable invasion? :wow:

BBC {L_WROTE}:
The Black Oil is the essential form of the Alien Colonists

It first appears in the third season, when a French diver investigating the wreck of a World War II plane on the sea bed discovers the pilot is still alive. The pilot was kept animated for fifty years by the Black Oil - an alien substance that is capable of possessing people. The side effects of possession are extremely unpleasant - the oil leaks from the eyes, and the possessed can fire off bursts of concentrated radiation.

By the time of the X Files film, we learn just how unpleasant the Black Oil really can be. The Conspiracy have been working for years on a plan to turn humans into obedient slaves by spreading the oil through bees infected with a virus. What they didn't realise is that the Black Oil is actually capable of mutating its host into a Grey alien. Once the oil is released, humanity will turn into a giant alien factory.

Fascinating Alan!!
Is this from a suppressed documentary by the BBC?
I imagine it was not aired in Germany

Finally, now we're getting somewhere in this mysterious case!
There's actually a commercial bee hive very close to Hung Shing Yeh beach, run by "Lamma BBQ" !!!

And I've actually eaten some of that honey! Gaaaaah!

My head and hair are turning a bit Grey-ish these days, maybe the first signs of alien infection, turning into a Grey alien! Gaaaaahhh! :wow: :wow: :wow:

And that "giant alien factory" mentioned above, could that refer to the Power Station, using up all that Black Oil shipped in on supertankers which are actually disguised UFOs???

Oh for F#@s Sake, make your mind up?!

You support the Baroque and the devastating impact it will have on South Lamma, yet you are aiming for clean water and environment.

You are actually quite funny in a sort of pathetic way. LOL
