Lifeguards strike hits swimming pools 05-08-2014
Lifeguards say their workload has become too heavy.
More than 100 lifeguards appear to be on strike this morning over manpower shortages and heavy workloads.
The action was expected to close the Morrison Hill swimming pool, while fewer than half the usual number of lifeguards are on duty at the Morse Park pool. Seven other public pools and beaches were expected to also be affected.
The Hong Kong and Kowloon Lifeguards Union says the manpower problem goes back 10 years, but has been exacerbated recently by a big influx of swimmers from across the border.

Nothing specific about here, but the story says "pools and beaches".
There are plenty of mainlanders at the beach these days, though great majority are locals, during the school holidays.
