but the delay is not without reason. i've just lost 4 baby kittens in the last three weeks and am doing all i can to help the remaining three.

I'm chasing you for a not important story, while you're involved in fights for life or death. Insensitive bloke, slapping myself!

But maybe you could describe some of these fights later, after the survival of the remaining kittens is assured, as tales of caution and warning to other cat owners, so they can learn from your experiences?

Back to the topic that people hate cats, I think they are not only frightened. Most of them simply hate the animal.

I've heard of cat haters saying that they hate the look of the felines. They said the cats' eyes look evil and the teeth so sharp and fierce. Others said they had been scratched by cats (saying "....Look! the scar is still visible" etc, etc). One even told me that his/her beloved dog lost one eye in a terrible fight with a cat.

All in all, we can't expect everyone treat the cats as nice as we do.

yes, pooh. we do have to face the fact that there will always be cat haters and dog haters. just as we have to admit that there are agressive felines and agressive canine that can be frightening. i only hope that humans can give a little bit more tolerance to animals. just as i said to my warning-issuing neighbour, "there cats live here long before u move in".....

those who are cruel and stupid to the extent that they will abandon their companion pets would usually become a coward when they do their actual dumping. these people would not admit that they have just thrown their pets out because they were afraid that they might contract some deadly disease from them. that's why many nice people like Poppet would find wandering cats around, cats that evidently have had homes.

LAP has just been handed over a very pretty cocker spaniel. the kind lady who picked her up found out that the cocker's owner has left the island and just dumped the poor doggie on the streets.

sadly, there are too many stories about irresponsible ownership.
