I found the following warning on the Lamma Animal Protection website. Please pass the information on and urge dog lovers to care for their dogs responsibly and keep them safely on a leash in public places.

WARNING Leash Your Dog
The Law requires that dogs over 20kg should be kept on a leash of not more than 2 meters in public places. AFCD has given notice that they are conducting a crackdown on wandering dogs in North Lamma. Unregistered dogs will be taken away and killed. Registered owners of wandering un-leashed dogs over 20kg may face prosecution. Please license your dogs and keep them under control at all times."

Maybe they should poison the owners of roaming dogs; although that would badly diminish the availability of "free range dogs eggs" on Lamma, of course.
