It would be interesting to get the same shot in a few years. The now still green center of this image - an old-growth, thick forest just 2 years ago, now razed - just off Power Station Beach, will be covered in up to 38 new Village Houses. It's the just newly founded village, Tai Wan Nam, where building has commenced with 3 buildings completed close to Power Station Road #1 (the one leading to Pak Kok Shan).

Here's the start of the Lamma Planet animation, plus an aerobot flying over O Tsai Village. They'll be out tomorrow flying during Earth Hour as well.

OK, got the copyright permission for printing this poster from AerobotsHK. They've even offered me the high-res version of this Planet Lamma for free, for this poster only. Great guys!

These were captured from animations on the http://www.Aerobotshk.com website where these "planets" transform into interactive 360-degree panoramas, shot from a "remote-controlled multi-rotor aircraft", like Lammaite Joe Yu's quadrocopter, but with up to 8 rotors. Click on the links on this page to see what I mean:

If you're interested how these were done:
These are stereographic projections (done for example with Photoshop's "Polar Coordinates") of 360-degree photos, all-round full-spheres, including above and below.
Their website above has animated "fly-ins" to a tiny planet, Google-Earth-style, down to the surface where the photo unwraps into a full 360-degree panorama. There are 4 Lamma panoramas, but also quite a few more of Aberdeen and other HK locations.
I simply captured the screen at the right moment of maximum planet size of the "fly-in", then pasting it into Photoshop for a bit of editing and compositing. All credits must go to those wizards at Aerobots, who are doing this fun stuff for a living!

Here are a few more stereographic projections, created by Lamma-zine contributor Gap Hung at ground level, Gaido Pier and YSW ferry pier:
